Colorado ProStart understands that students have busy schedules that are sometimes difficult to keep up with. That’s why we’ve gone to great lengths to design a flexible curriculum that includes lab activities and chapters that can be divided up to work in 45-minute class periods or in a block schedule.
Colorado ProStart student curriculum consists of the Foundations of Restaurant Management & Culinary Arts. Separated into two levels, the curriculum includes everything required to build well-rounded skills and vast knowledge of the industry. This gives our students an edge once they go out into the real world to tackle their career goals.
Colorado ProStart provides you with everything you need to succeed, both while participating in the program and once you’re faced with the challenge of creating and maintaining a solid career in the industry of their choice. The curriculum’s textbooks include a blend of culinary and management skill topics, industry leader profiles to introduce career paths, and real-life case studies that build a stronger connection between the classroom and the industry.
Flexible Equipment Needs
It is important to us that students are able to implement their work in any classroom setting. There are no equipment requirements. Activities can be conducted in a family and consumer sciences kitchen or an industrial kitchen. This allows your coursework to be completed without unnecessary complications.
Resources for Students & Educators
Supplying an ample amount of resources is critical for the success of each student’s education and future career. ProStart provides resources that include everything from textbooks (print and electronic) and a companion website for students to a teacher’s wraparound edition and assessments for educators.
